Description
The interactive art installation Disappearing Wall was set up across Europe between autumn 2020 and spring 2021 and has travelled from Vilnius to Belfast and from Thessaloniki to Madrid. Built from 6,000 wooden blocks inscribed with quotes from European high and pop culture, the walls represented the diversity of the continent.
Visitors of the Disappearing Wall were invited to remove the blocks inscribed with their favourite quotes from the installations and take them home. As more and more blocks were being removed, the walls gradually “disappeared”, leaving behind the empty plexiglass grid.
Now the plexiglass grid and the wooden / metallic frame are available for a second use.
Available pieces:
- 7 x Plexiglass modules individually packed
- 4 x wooden base plates to cover the podium construction – dimension approx. 1.60 x 2.30m
- 2 x thick metal beams each 4.60m long for wall standing scaffolding
- 15 x metal beams, used to built the base of the installation
